If you say i am new in yoga and not to know which to choose, this post is for you. There are many brands ofyoga mats outside. It is a little confusing to choose one of them especially if this is the first time you are getting your yoga mat.
Here I wanna share some tips when you buy yoga mat.
This really depends on personal preference. Some people prefer thinner mats because they are more portable or they like to be able to feel the ground more in their practice. But thicker mats are also preffered by who wants to get less painful when doing some poses cause bones to dig into ground. It’s important to have a more padded mat to that can slowly build joint and muscle strength and help prevent injury.
When you’re shopping for a mat, test out grip. Are your palms sliding around? If so, it’s probably not for you. You would need to make sure that your yoga mat has enough grip. Not just grip between you and mat and between the mat and the floor as well.
What is the material of your yoga mat ? Is it made of PVC material that is environmentally hazardous? Some yoga mats are full of PVCs, which is a toxic plastic with carcinogens in it. So when shopping, search an option for a PVC-free mat or made of natural rubber one.
Don’t be afraid to spend a few extra dollars
Sure we’re all about saving money. You might think you’re saving a buck at first but you’ll wear it out quickly. Also cheap mats are usually too thin and flimsy. But a high quality yoga mat is worth the splurge.
Choose a fun mat
You can enjoy your mat more, if a brightly-colored or patterned mat will make you more likely to go to yoga, make it happen.
I don’t suggest that you buy yoga mat online. Because feeling texture of yoga mat is really important to have feeling with it.
